Suchismita Pai

I'm a freelance writer and journalist currently based out of Pune, India. My formal education includes post graduate degrees in Journalism, Economics and Business management and a sojourn at The University of Wisconsin, Madison on a Rotary Foundation scholarship for journalism studies.

After over two decades in the corporate world, I decided to refocus my time on freelance journalism and community outreach.

I have a range of writing interests but my recent work has focused on the environment, social issues in India, rural technology and politics. In addition to my writing, I am an engaged animal lover and social entrepreneur.

While I am a regular contributor to the UNESCO initiated Women's Feature Service, most of my writing is freelance and my work has been published in reputed dailies like The Hindu and The Better India.

Currently engaged in communication and outreach on gender and social causes.
